Omg! I’m so excited for this post. I’ve been hesitating to share this post with you guys cause’ I had a lot of trouble editing the photos; They are still not perfect but this is kinda the best I can do for now :D I got to take some photos of Delany a month ago or so :D And I’ve been struggling with the editing-part since then! When taking the photos I didn’t think properly about the lighting, so it was hard to edit the photos the right way because of that. Anyways.. I’m finally ready to share the photos with you guys. I hope you guys like it! We wanted to do something traditional. These photos were actually for a competition where the topic was “red”. I wanted to photograph something traditional so I tried focusing on the “Bindi” (=The red “dot” on Delany’s forehead). The red bindi which is red is something women wear when they are married. I wanted the symbolism of marriage to show through the bindi and the traditional look. I’m not really sure if the pictures are telling the message or just looks like “traditional beauty shots”. I struggled a lot with the photographing because I wanted to make sure that the “theme=red=bindi” was obvious.. but I dont really think I achieved my goal that well. I love the photos and I love Delany’s makeup (The makeup is done by Delany herself); but I wish I was better at editing them :D Let me show you:
