It has been quite some time since I felt as motivated as I do right now! I’ve been very consistent with my morning routines lately, and it has had a huge impact on how I feel throughout the rest of the day. The way I created my morning routine was by first writing down how I envision my ideal day when I’m the best version of myself. I then tested the routine and made some adjustments to ensure it’s more realistic and not too much of a stress factor. After all, there’s no point in starting the day with a stressful morning routine.
I’m still struggling with waking up early, but I’ve been managing to wake up around 5 or 6 in the morning. If I feel too tired or exhausted, I let myself sleep an extra half hour. I try to be flexible with my routine so I don’t feel like I’ve failed if I adjust or change it slightly.
After waking up, I do a 15-minute meditation that includes visualization and breathing exercises. Then, I stretch, practice affirmations, and write in my Five Minute Gratitude Journal. Afterward, I take a bath and get ready for work. After getting ready, I usually have about 15 to 20 minutes left to eat breakfast and read at least 5 to 10 pages.
Right now, I’m reading Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before? by Dr. Julie Smith.
