I took these photos when we got home from the hospital, about three weeks after our baby boy arrived. I never got around to sharing them, so I thought I’d post them on the blog today. Our baby just turned three months old this week!
The other day, we were looking at pictures from when he was born and wow…you can really see a difference. I mean, he’s still tiny, but he was really tiny when he arrived compared to now. The growth in just three months is incredible, and it’s made me realize even more how much I want to be present and truly enjoy motherhood and this season of life.
We’ve been parents for three months now… that’s wild. I still haven’t figured it all out (does anyone ever? xD), and I still feel insecure sometimes, but I’m learning to accept that. Everything is new, and I’m not striving to be perfect. Honestly, I don’t think there’s such a thing as a perfect parent.
But I do want to give my baby everything I can, to make sure he’s okay and that he knows he is loved unconditionally. I also want to make sure he feels safe and calm when we’re around. Sometimes I worry and overthink things; it’s nothing new; I’ve been that way for years, but I’m working on it and just trying to enjoy every second of this new chapter of ours.
